My Story
My Scentsy story starts in January of 2007. I had always loved burning candles, however, we realized that we were getting black soot all over our ceilings and and we also had a 3 year old that was facinated with the flame. I also kept forgetting to blow them out when we left the house or sometimes even when we went to bed. We decided that maybe we shouldn't burn candles anymore. One day when I went to get my hair done, my hair stylest told me that she was selling this new product called Scentsy. I had never seen a Scentsy warmer before but loved the idea of being able to have the scent in my house but without all the risks. I also thought that maybe my nail clients (I had done nails out of my house for 13 years) would love it to and that they could buy their 'refills' through me. So, without even seeing any of the products first, I decided to sign up. That night I couldn't sleep because I was so excited about it and had so many ideas. I planned a Launch Party so that I could introduce it to all my friends and family- and also, that I could get all the hostess rewards to begin having an inventory on hand. I was nervous to do my first party because I'd never had any previous Direct Sales experience and had never even had any party like that before! My party was AMAZING!! I had invited anyone and everyone that I had any connection with at all and I had over $2000 in sales! The best part, was that as those customers received their products, they were calling me back for more and a few wanted to book parties because they LOVED the products! I began setting goals for myself and my business. It felt so good to see those goals accomplished! I didn't plan on recruiting, but within a month of signing up, I had someone call me and ask if I would help her get started. Then a couple of weeks later, I had someone else. I now have over 11,000 consultants in my group and have met so many wonderful people that I never would have met otherwise. I decided at the last minute that year- to attend Convention. I promoted to Director the next month and never looked back! I knew that I was a part of something that was going to be big, with or without me! I caught the vision and have worked hard to help others see it for themselves. I love my team and I love seeing their success just as much as I love to see mine. I promoted to Superstar Director in November of 2008. I know that my success with Scentsy has been because I love it and I have fun with it and because I've learned how to step outside of my comfort zone (that's hard at first, but worth it.) I have had many opportunities flow into my life because of being a part of it and I have learned a lot. I have been on the incentive trips to Cancun and Banff, Canada, Hawaii, Disneyworld (with my whole family),Punta Cana,Puerto Rico, Greece, Africa and more! I've also been on several leadership retreats that included 2 cruises, Puerta Villarta and Maya, Riviera. I have learned and grown so much throughout this journey and I can't imagine my life now without Scentsy. It is a great feeling to know that I could sustain our family on my income if we needed too. I invite others to join my team because I know that they too can be blessed by being a part of this company. I know that to be successful, you need to have the desire and be willing to work towards your goals. <!--endbody-->
